ABOUT DR. LINDA OLSON

Helping women recognize coercive control, rebuild self-worth, and break free.

I am a licensed clinical psychologist (Psy.D.) with over 30 years of experience helping women navigate relational trauma, emotional overwhelm, and controlling or confusing relationship dynamics.

My work focuses on helping women understand what they are experiencing, regulate their nervous system, and reconnect with their own clarity—so they can make grounded, empowered decisions about their lives.

Why This Work Matters to Me

Helping women recognize coercive control, rebuild self-worth, and break free is not just my work—it is deeply personal.

I know what it feels like to live in confusion, to see warning signs and still hold onto hope, and to lose yourself trying to make a relationship work. I also understand how difficult it can be to trust your own perception when your nervous system has adapted to survive.

This work is where truth replaces confusion.
Where pain becomes purpose.
And where women begin to reclaim their voice, their clarity, and their sense of self.

It is also where my personal and professional experience come together—so that women can see clearly, sooner, and with greater compassion for themselves.

My Approach

My work is grounded in a regulation-first, trauma-informed framework that integrates Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), nervous system regulation, and attachment and relational dynamics.

I help women understand why they stayed, why change can feel so difficult, and how to move forward without self-blame.

A core concept in my work is what I call Dangerous Hope™—the moment when warning signs are visible, and at the same time, the worst still feels impossible.

Understanding this pattern helps women move out of confusion and into clarity—without shame.

It is about creating the conditions where change becomes possible.
